Must people phones are their lifelines. So, it was vital for me to share some of the apps I have been using to save a little money. I always like making and saving money. To be honest I am finding that apps are helping me out with that. I have a lot of apps on my phone, but I wanted to highlight a few that may be new or different from the norm. I hope you learn something new and save some money too.
I have to say right now my favorite app is MoviePass. If you didn’t know MoviePass is a phone app membership where you get a debit card to use at the movies. I love my MoviePass card. How it works is you download the app and pay your monthly fee. You get a debit card in the mail. You use your phone to reserve your movie ticket for that day. And you purchase your movie ticket with your card when you get there. There are some rules with the card. You can only use it once a week. You must be 100 feet or less from the theater to reserve your ticket. And you can only buy one ticket. As you know, I’m a super movie lover, and this is saving me so much money. Right now, the membership fee is only $10 a month. That’s only $2.50 a week. I was spending about $100 a month on movies with the tickets cost and refreshments. Now I am just paying $50 that’s $10 on my membership and $40 on popcorn.
I have replaced this app with AMC A-List movie pass. It’s the same idea and I am still saving money.
The Ebates app and website is not so new, but its new to me. I took a class about two months ago on couponing, and the teacher talked about Ebates, so I decided to use it. I used the site to buy a plane ticket from another site, and I got a check back. Then I got some of my money back just for purchasing something I was ALREADY going to buy using a website I was already going to use. How it works is you login to Ebates on your computer then go to list sites where you want to shop from there, and you can get money back. For example, if you buy online with Amazon, JCPenny, eBay, Hotel.com, and so many more you can get cash back. I suggest you try it out.
3. Hotel Tonight
HotelTonight is excellent for spontaneous travelers like me. I love to travel and plan weekend getaways for me and the fam. HotelTonight is an app that you can use to book a hotel up to 90 days in advance. Their rates are super reasonable, and they do rate the hotels. If your traveling and need to stop overnight this app is a great way to get a fair price. Some of the apps downfalls are you do have to prepay for your room and customer service is on chat in the app only. However, their customer service is fast, friendly, and efficient. I am speaking from experience. Use promo code RSOLOMON78 for $25 off first booking for purchasing of $135 or more.
I hope you try some of these apps or even better comment below some apps your using to save or make money. I love staying up with what’s new in the world of apps. If you like this blog post, please share with your friends.
